Clearly, “soon” to Jesus is different from ...Jesus spoke at length about conditions before his return in Matthew 24, Mark 13 & Luke 17 & 21. These verses from Matthew 24, show that some will be taken and some will be left — these people are going about their normal activities when Jesus returns:This is because this “rapture” return of Jesus is spoken of as something that can happen at any time. But the day of the Lord expressed in Revelation 19, when Jesus returns to defeat His foes and set up His reign, will only come after certain prophesied signs take place.Matthew 24:15 I.e. the Antichrist (2 Thess 2:4), “the prince who is to come” who will make a covenant with Israel, then break it in the middle of the tribulation (the seven-year period of Dan 9:27).
